■ World-class faculty
Since the establishment of Sogang University in 1960, Sogang School of Economics has risen immediately to contend with the top economics departments in Korea. All of our faculty members have been trained at internationally renowned economics programs and many of them have had teaching experience at major U.S. and international universities. Reflecting its excellent research capacity, the School has been ranked among the top three in the nation in terms of international journal publications. 

The School has had significant contribution in the rapid economic growth of Korea during the last four decades. Some of our faculty members have been deeply involved in the development process of Korea by assuming top level cabinet positions in the government throughout the developmental process. Due to these important engagements, the School and its faculty have earned the unique name of “the Sogang School” in Korea. 
