* Renault Samsung Evening Recently there was a dinner hosted by RENAULT SAMSUNG which was held at one of the most luxurious traditional Korean restaurants in Seoul. The foreign students of Sogang GSIS and the executives from the Renault Samsung Group enjoyed the delicious traditional cuisine of Korea. After the dinner, the CEO of Renault Samsung Mr. Jerome Stoll and the Dean of GSIS Ahn Seyoung made a short speech to the audience. The CEO showed his gratitude to the GSIS students for being his guests, and the Dean thanked Mr. CEO for the pleasant evening in such a beautiful setting. |
* Sports Event
All the hard workers of GSIS got a chance to get out of classroom on this Sports Day. It is one of our annual events which enable students to get to know each other as well as the professors. Our professors are always eager to participate in the Sports Day with students. In fact, you will probably be surprised to see what good athletes they are! We make this activity a team competition that joins people from different concentrations. It provides us with the opportunity to get know all of the students from different concentration and the winners, moreover, can expect to get a prize!!
With the small size of the program, you will not miss the chance to get involved in all of the sports activities.
The season in which sports day is held is the most beautiful in Korea. Thus you can enjoy not only the exciting activity but also the beautiful weather of Korea.
After this activity, we usually have dinner together.
* Hiking
Although hiking is not the official annual event of GSIS, hiking is one of the most popular events of GSIS. This activity is usually with members of the same entering class. It is one of the advantages you can expect from GSIS; small size of each class binds students as a group and makes things much more enjoyable.
Seoul is one of the most crowded metropolises in the world, but there are beautiful mountains which are easy to climb near Seoul. The scenery from the top of the mountains is great. Foreign students in particular have been fascinated with that scenery. While hiking, students and professors can help each other and get to know each other.
After hiking, we usually have traditional Korean food together.
