There are three paths of majoring in Korean language and literature.
Multiple major path: a course for a student who wants to select additional majors except for major of Korean Language and Literature while an undergraduate student.
Advanced major path: a course for a student who wants to go on to graduate school to study Korean language and literature after graduation.
Practical major path : a course for a student who wants to get a job by majoring Korean Language and Literature after graduation.
Major courses are classified into four large groups in accordance with their level.

Multiple major path: 36 credits or more
(9 credits from required courses and 27 credits from general courses).
Advanced major path or teacher training program: 45 credits or more.
(9 credits from required courses, 27 credits from general courses, and 9 credits from advanced courses)
Practical major path: 48 credits or more.
(9 credits from required courses, 27 credits from general courses, and 9 credits from practical courses. A total credits from practical courses cannot exceed 18. If a student takes 18 credits from practical courses, s/he may take just 21 credits from general courses).
KOR2001 Introduction to Korean Linguistics, KOR2200 Introduction to Korean Literature, KOR3002 ?Phonological System of Korean Language
Except for required course above, according to the requirement for paths, multiple major path needs 27 credits or more, advanced major path or teacher training program need 36 credits or more, practical major path needs 39 credits or more at discretion
Every student take 6 credits from Korean Linguistics, 3 credits from General Korean Literature, 3 credits from classic Korean Literature, and 3 credits from Contemporary Korean Literature when they take general courses.
